You will notice that we have a few executive members with no specific titles detailed beside their names; one of the things that we want to accomplish this year is to discuss changes to the board to be reflective of the current direction of the yacht club and technology. When that charter of the club was put together many years ago, email and the internet did not exist. As a board we want to examine and propose changes to the executive to be more reflective of today’s needs.
One of the changes the yacht club is planning this year is to focus on more “in harbour” social events vs. on the water events. In this we plan to provide a calendar of events that has wide appeal to all boaters at

Northern Yacht Club Car Pool:
With gas prices on the rise, we thought it might be a good idea to create a weekly car pool list. We will send out a weekly reminder on Wednesdays. If anyone is heading down to the lake by themselves and has room or is looking for a ride, please provide your name and phone number by Wednesday night. We will send out the list to everyone by Thursday so that you can reach out and make arrangements for a ride.
Classified and Announcements:
If you have anything you would like to sell or buy, or have an announcement you would like to make to the general membership, let us know and we will include it in our regular email communications.
Membership Renewals:
The early membership renewal fee is $80 and the deadline has been extended to the Icebreaker Social on May 17th. Please feel free to drop off a check to any member of the executive prior to or at the event. After May 17t the regular membership will be $100. We plan to send out a reminder via email with a renewal form prior to the Icebreaker.
