Promenade is a 65-foot trimaran that accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.  The two forward cabins have Queen berths and ensuite head/shower, while the 3 aft cabins (one Queen, and two cabins that can either be configured as Twins or a King) share 2 heads with showers.

* STANDARD ALL-INCLUSIVE RATE: Diving & Crew gratuity extra

• $13,900/wk for up to 6 guests. Add $1000 for each additional person (maximum of 10 guests)
• $14,900/wk for 7 guests
• $15,900/wk for 8 guests
• $16,900/wk for 9 guests
• $17,900/wk for 10 guests

Verna Breeze: Back After Successful First Season of Yacht Charters

Kelly & Chris, owner-operators of Verna Breeze, have just returned to the islands after five weeks stateside. They are currently "on the hard" at the boatyard in Virgin Gorda getting Verna Breeze all prepped for the upcoming charter season. They are "looking forward to another great year of showing guests their dream vacation and getaway of a lifetime".

Verna Breeze had an impressive first charter season with couples and families aboard. We would like to remind you that their Special Introductory Rate ($5999/wk for 2 guests +500/kid) expires December 14, 2010. They are currently open beginning October 27th. Verna Breeze is a 54-foot Gulfstar sloop, owned and operated by Chris & Kelly Allison. Verna Breeze has two cats but they will board them with a friend if you wish. Verna Breeze is fully air conditioned and accommodates 2 guests (up to 4 if family). Verna Breeze has a 15-foot dinghy with 70HP motor, two kayaks, wakeboard, kneeboard, tube, snorkel equipment, fishing gear, TV/DVD in salon and guest cabin. On-board WIFI, too! They have a huge awning to provide shade on the foredeck which is a very nice feature. Kelly is a dive instructor and offers "light" diving to certified divers.

Chris & Kelly points out, "For anyone that may be looking to fish on their upcoming charter, keep us in mind as it happens to be one of our specialties. We have 5 different rods on board that include 3 for trolling while underway and 2 for casting. We are equipped with a fluorescent underwater light that keeps the fish and the guest happy in our secluded anchorages. Our 15 foot center console tender is also equipped with 2 rod holders so the guests can still fish while the mother ship is anchored in a small piece of heaven!"

Sailing Diving & Fun with Promenade

As you long-time readers are aware, the charter yacht PROMENADE, a 65-foot trimaran that accommodates up to 10 or 12 guests, is one of our favorite boats.

They are an excellent choice for families or groups who want to have fun... sailing, diving, fishing, kneeboarding, riding pull toys like a tube or the Predator, or just chilling out on the power lounger.  They can do it all :)

Although the group that the charter yacht Promenade had aboard recently (repeat guests who are called "The Cape Cod Pirates") were not our clients, we were so impressed with their comments that we just had to share.  They sum up a Promenade charter so well.

Well, here I sit in cloudy cool Delmar, NY, thinking it was has been only a week since saying our goodbyes. I had to think a while before sending an e-mail. Most times when a trip or vacation is repeated a second time there is always concerns that the experience would not be as great as the first. Planning an event for the third time you could pretty much guarantee disappointment, unless you are booking the Promenade. There is no question that you (Kerry and Bazza and newbie Connor) being there for us was so important for the Cape Cod Pirates. Kerry and Bazza are not just the people we charter with, they have become intertwined within our hearts and souls as they have provided us with lifelong memories. Kerry, each trip I come to enjoy more and more your teasing banter, even though you did complain a bit and had to rally mid-week, there is no question you make it so we do have more fun. Bazza continues to amaze me with what he has done and wants to do. Picking his brain by asking junior high school questions would be annoying to most but not to someone who sincerely wants to share his knowledge and experiences. I know when we talk to others about our trips they just don't understand, they don't believe that there is a vacation this positive and rewarding. I think, for the Cape Cod Pirates, the charters have now taken on the tone of a religious pilgrimage. As I stated in an earlier e-mail, that we were coming back for a third time hoping you would get it right this time. I think you were close but not close enough so we will probably give you one more chance and perhaps another and maybe another.......Whenever we gather you are always in our thoughts, thank you for another wonderful memory, stay safe and a good winds.

Charter catamaran DOUBLE EXPOSURE in Florida

DOUBLE EXPOSURE is a 40-foot catamaran with a crew of two, based in Miami/Key Biscayne and charters in the Florida Keys. Scott and Cara grew up in this area and know all of its secrets!

Double Exposure is available year round and moored just a short taxi ride from Miami International Airport. Pick up and drop off can be anywhere between Miami and Key West.

Sail Dive Fish & Fun PROMENADE yacht charter photos

Here's some new photos from the charter yacht PROMENADE, a 65-foot trimaran, which offers diving along with lots of other fun in the Virgin Islands!

This photo looks like Kerry either set it up, or she took a picture of the aquarium in her dentist's waiting room. She assures me that it really was this way.

This family had a great time on Promenade this week. This was pirate night and everyone really got into the fun of it.

Here's another example of the amount of space you have on Promenade. With this much room, you can either clump together in a group, or get away from the others for some quiet time to yourself.

UPDATE: As most of you probably know, Rich injured his knee while on vacation. Rich goes to the doctor in the UK this Friday, so we hope to have some news on his condition next week. We are thinking of you Rich & Lisa!

PROMENADE summer 2009 Rich & Lisa Return

We are happy to announce the return of Rich & Lisa aboard the 65-foot, BVI sail-dive trimaran, Promenade.



Richard Rome and Lisa Dixon have worked on Promenade for several years now and, after taking nine months off to have vacation time themselves (including SCUBA diving in the Far East, Rich earning his RYA Ocean Yachtmaster, and Lisa studying at Cordon Bleu), they are ready to come back to the Virgin Islands to take care and pamper you on YOUR vacation.

Because of their return, Promenade is opening their summer calendar. Promenade is now open for charters crewed by Rich & Lisa beginning July 6, 2009. Please note that July 17-24 is already booked, otherwise they are open and looking forward to having you aboard Promenade. But hurry, as popular boats with popular crew book up fast!

Currently available for Christmas and New Years!!!

Kerry and Baz will take over from December 2009 through May 30, 2010. Kerry & Bazza have owned and operated Promenade for many years. They work hard to keep Promenade "ship shape" and do an excellent job of taking care of guests aboard. They have pride in their boat and the service they provide, and rightly so. We have had many happy charters and repeat guests aboard Promenade. Our problem with booking Promenade nowadays, is that they are too often already booked! It's a Catch-22 situation. We are happy that Rich & Lisa are back which gives us more charter weeks to fill :)

*** SUMMER 2009 rates (July-November 2009): Rich & Lisa

FULLY CREWED, STANDARD ALL-INCLUSIVE CHARTER

• Charter fee: $18,900/wk for up to 10 guests. Twelve guests require prior approval, inquire.
• Includes: Cruising permits, National Parks fees, all meals aboard, ship's bar, and water sports.
• Not included: Crew Gratuity of 15-20%; Surcharge of $60 per night if charterers request air conditioning to be run throughout the night which requires the use of the generator.
• Diving: $50/dive for certified divers, $85/dive for Resort/Discover Scuba. Includes gear. One dive/day. Please inquire in advance if you require more dives. Open Water Referral dives are available, upon request... inquire.
• Miscellaneous: No age restrictions. Children welcome. Short charters are possible but charters of 5 nights or less are subject to an industry standard surcharge of 10%.

"A LA CARTE" CHARTERS

• Charter fee: $11,000/wk, plus all expenses & crew gratuity, for up to 12 guests. Children of any age welcome. No short charters, please.
• Included: A competent licensed captain to be in charge of the boat and boat safety at all times. Guests are encouraged to plan their own route with the captain's help as much or as little as needed, and are in control of the yacht with the crew's skills and local knowledge for back up. Full water tanks at beginning of charter (750) gallons. Use of all equipment as inventoried on board. The galley is fully equipped with microwave, full stove, toaster oven, coffee makers, blenders, large fridges and freezers, icemaker, pantry, all common spices, dishtowels, dish clothes. There is a large propane barbecue on the aft of the yacht. Cabins are equipped with a set of sheets, towels and a beach towel for each person. The yacht has a commercial fishing license and fishing gear onboard.
• Not included: Charterers are responsible for all costs, including food and beverages, extra ice, garbage disposal, fuel, moorings, clearing in and out costs, and whatever else we have not listed here :) National Parks Permit =$80/wk; VISAR = $10/wk, Cruising Permit = $2/day/person. Additionally, you are responsible for all the cooking, and cleaning the yacht returning it except for normal wear and tear in the same general condition and cleanliness at the end of the charter week. An incidental/fuel deposit will be required with the booking. The unused portion will be returned to you at the end of the week with a full accounting of expenses.
  
• Meal options: You may choose how many, if any, lunches and/or dinners you would like to have prepared for you during the week. $100/day for dinner (not per person) and/or $100/day for lunch/appetizers, plus food costs.
• Optional provisioning service: $150 plus cost of provisions, to save your valuable time for on the boat and not shopping
  
• Diving: Unlimited SCUBA diving: $10.00/dive per person. Divemaster fee of $50/dive, if wanted or required. BC and reg rental available on board if required at $125/person/week or you may bring your own. For some dive sites, Promenade reserves the right to require the guidance of a Dive Master

SLEEP ABOARDS: Additionally, Promenade will offer a sleepaboard option, for the night before the charter only, at a flat net rate of $800 with no services.

As needs dictate, a third crew member may be added.
