Corus is a 42-foot Whitby ketch, owned and operated by the British couple Bill and Ann Hasted. Bill is a Dive Master and Ann is well known for her cooking skills as she has won many awards in culinary contests at the annual BVI charter yacht shows.

Corus has a large guest cabin aft with a queen-sized berth and private, ensuite head/shower. Access to the guest cabin is either from the boat's interior or by a separate private entrance via the center cockpit.  Amenities include a 13-foot dinghy with 30HP motor, 2 one-person kayaks, snorkel equipment, hammock, beach toys, underwater camera & video, etc. One dive/day for certified divers (gear included, but not wet suits or air fills) is included in the standard charter fee.

RATES: $5600/week for 2 people (not each!)

• No charge for single child (under 12 years of age) using navigators berth and parent's bathroom.
• No surcharge for charters of less than 5 nights.

Catamaran SOLSTICE - Charter Comments - Bahamas

A big Thumbs UP from our Solstice charterers.

This family are repeat clients of Paradise Connections. They enjoy sailing & diving and wanted to go to the Bahamas over Thanksgiving... Of course, the catamaran Solstice seemed perfect for them.

Here's what Eric had to say:

"We absolutely loved Solstice and would not hesitate to recommend it. Cliff & Liza were wonderful hosts and the scenery was AWESOME!  Miles of secluded beaches with very few other boats.  If someone wants to get away, this is the place to do it.  The only potential downside is that the dives were fewer, but very high quality.  It didn't bother us because we managed 4 dives, 2 of which were shark dives!"

The charter catamaran SOLSTICE, a 47-foot Lagoon, is owned and operated by Liz & Cliff. This is their 7th season of full-time chartering in the Bahamas. Solstice is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 double cabins with ensuite head/shower. There is also a single berth available in the center of the starboard hull. Solstice has an 11-foot dinghy with 15HP motor, 2-person kayak, snorkel equipment, fishing gear, floating mats, satellite radio, flat screen TV/DVD, internet where available, etc. Cliff is a dive instructor and diving is available for certified and non-certified divers. Diving is dependent on conditions, typically 2-4 times per week for up to 4 divers, and only one or two dives/week for 5 or 6 divers.

Beautiful yacht and excellent hospitality!

Charter Yacht STORM PETREL - Comments - Daysail New England

Last Tuesday we had a woman call about a surprise birthday present for her husband. He enjoys sailing but no longer has his own boat. She said that he'd be so happy to be out on the water again. His birthday was that Friday and she'd like to arrange for a daysail charter (Thursday, if possible) in New England... How about STORM PETREL?  Perfect :)

Called Phil, no problem. He has a charter for the weekend, but Thursday would be great. Hooked him up with the wife so they could discuss charter details such as meeting place and lunch arrangements.

AFTER CHARTER COMMENTS: "Brian and the gang had a great time. Brian was thrilled and is talking about getting another sailboat. God help us!"

Catamaran MAROLANGA - Charter comments - review

We had a family of five recently aboard the charter yacht MAROLANGA, a 43-foot Catana catamaran, and we'd like to share their after-charter guest comments with you.

We just got back from our week with Gus and Marcela and we had a great trip. There are probably a few logistical things we might change next time, but overall we loved the trip. Gus and Marcela were terrific and the Marolanga was a great boat. We would definitely recommend them.

Promenade - Client comments - Goodtime letter

Although the group that the charter yacht Promenade had aboard recently (repeat guests who are called "The Cape Cod Pirates") were not our clients, we were so impressed with their comments that we just had to share.  They sum up a Promenade charter so well.

Well, here I sit in cloudy cool Delmar, NY, thinking it was has been only a week since saying our goodbyes. I had to think a while before sending an e-mail. Most times when a trip or vacation is repeated a second time there is always concerns that the experience would not be as great as the first. Planning an event for the third time you could pretty much guarantee disappointment, unless you are booking the Promenade. There is no question that you (Kerry and Bazza and newbie Connor) being there for us was so important for the Cape Cod Pirates. Kerry and Bazza are not just the people we charter with, they have become intertwined within our hearts and souls as they have provided us with lifelong memories. Kerry, each trip I come to enjoy more and more your teasing banter, even though you did complain a bit and had to rally mid-week, there is no question you make it so we do have more fun. Bazza continues to amaze me with what he has done and wants to do. Picking his brain by asking junior high school questions would be annoying to most but not to someone who sincerely wants to share his knowledge and experiences. I know when we talk to others about our trips they just don't understand, they don't believe that there is a vacation this positive and rewarding. I think, for the Cape Cod Pirates, the charters have now taken on the tone of a religious pilgrimage. As I stated in an earlier e-mail, that we were coming back for a third time hoping you would get it right this time. I think you were close but not close enough so we will probably give you one more chance and perhaps another and maybe another.......Whenever we gather you are always in our thoughts, thank you for another wonderful memory, stay safe and a good winds.

OPUS is a 50-foot Piver-designed trimaran ketch with a crew of two. Billy (owner-operator) is a dive instructor and Kimberly is a dive master. Opus has three double guest cabins, all with ensuite heads/showers. They have a 20-foot dinghy with 115HP motor, waterskis, kneeboard, tube, fishing equipment, snorkel gear, kayaks, TV/DVD in salon, Playstation 3, etc. Opus offers 10 dives/week with additional dives at $50/diver/dive. Charter Yacht ANTILLEAN - Guest Comments / Client Reviews

Here are comments we received from recent charterers aboard Antillean, a 50-foot Beneteau sloop, in January 2010.

Hi Sheila and Bob,

Stephanie and I returned from VI yesterday.

Our trip was absolutely outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute.  The Antillean is exceptionally capable and extremely well maintained.  We were able to handle her in all conditions and enjoyed the thrill of the high winds to the sublime gentle runs downwind.  Antillean performed extremely well and we felt very comfortable in the capable and knowledgeable hands of John and Heidi.  It is remarkable to see two people who can work so collaboratively on board without a word and make everything appear so effortless.

I also want to note that John and Heidi are master hosts!  Our meals aboard were all at a level of 5 star hotel.  We absolutely love Heidi's meals.  Heidi could just as easily be the master chef in any of the top NY restaurants -  bar none and it was an absolute pleasure to have her all to ourselves.

Quite simply, every aspect was perfect - music, wine, snorkeling, hiking, day dreaming, reading, or talking to John about various aspects of boat handling and maintenance.  With most of his life on the water through the navy and cruising, John's knowledge is encyclopedic!

And of course there is Smee.  What a wonderful character and lovely traveling companion.  We became so attached to him - its incredible.  We miss his cheerful commentary and can't stop talking about him.  No boat should be without the wonderful company of a parrot.

Thank you very much for recommending Antillean.  We are delighted!  We feel fortunate to have found you and followed your recommendation.

Charter Yacht ISLANDER Guest Comments

We have received nice comments from a family charter we had aboard the charter yacht ISLANDER.

Gina, Julian and I had a great time with Patti and Charlie. They are a great couple at accommodating the desires of the guest. Charlie is an engaging conservationist, amazing musician and very knowledgeable sailor. Pattie is a great cook, smarter than a fifth grader (as a teacher she can engage on any topic and any subject with knowledge of the subject matter) and kept Julian entertained with the cat BC!

We will sail with Islander again, no doubt!

ALOHA MALOLO - Charter Comments

Here are comments we received from recent charterers (family of 5) we had aboard ALOHA MALOLO.

Dear Sheila and Bob,

Sorry about the delay. I was waiting until everyone could get together to reply but with teenagers flying all over the place it is not going to happen. Anyway, of course you can use any pictures you would like.

We all had a great time! Eric and Evelyn were very friendly, easygoing and accommodating.

Because we had been to the BVI once before on a Catamaran with a crew, we were able to tell Eric about a few places we had remembered and go back to those places. The combination of Eric suggesting places to go and our remembering a few places that we thought were neat made it especially fun. We introduced Eric and Evelyn to 'the bubbly place' on JVD and the tarpon hole on the SW side of Guana Island. They are both neat places where they may like to take future charters.

We were really happy that Eric accompanied us on our dives and that he was so accommodating about the number of dives that we could do. We ended up diving four times but if it had worked out Eric would have been happy to refill the tanks for a couple more dives.

By the end of the trip we considered Eric and Evelyn more as friends rather than the Captain and cook of the boat. Salty Dog made the trip even more fun! Salty was always well behaved. It was fun to swim with her and we enjoyed her personality.

The yacht was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Eric and Evelyn were great about closing hatches as soon as it drizzled and we never had a problem with a wet bunk. We slept like rocks and the boat is very stable so we never had a problem with the boat rocking back and forth too much.

The meals were fantastic! We did not make any special requests figuring that it would be more fun to try Evelyn's favorite dishes. The meals were beautifully presented. Stuart and I enjoyed everything and I was especially impressed with how much the three teenagers enjoyed the meals. Kate has been asking me to recreate some of Evelyn's dishes but of course they fall short. I guess we'll just have to go back. We will also be dreaming about Captain Eric's smoothies as well.

We would be interested in taking another vacation in the future (now that Kate is going to start looking at schools for college it may be hard to get away) and we would use the same crew.
