Work on expanding Port Adriano has entered the final stages and although the new facility will not be fully operational until early 2011, the first long-keel boats can start using the new slips in June.
The recently completed utility trench concludes the works on the new pier, and concrete is currently being poured for the seawall. Work on the embankment is well under way, and the roadway and car park are scheduled to be completed and in operation by the start of the new season.
Work on the slipway should also be completed during the summer, and the foundations for the buildings in the new commercial area located on the inner pier will be laid in April
All yachts using the new 20 metre berths in the marina will also be able to refuel at the dockside without having to go to the fuel station. They can also dispose of any waste and bilge water at the same time.
