The London evening newspaper the Evening Standard is reporting that "Property tycoons are fighting each other to snap up the best yachts at Cannes, ahead of next week's Mipim trade fair."
The paper suggests that " yacht brokers say the Jetée Albert Edouard - the port's prime spot for schmoozing contacts - is full up, with demand for berths now extending into less fashionable areas after three lean years."
The reporter even suggests that, "yachts are even returning to the Quai du Large, the unfashionable end of the port known as "Siberia" because of its lengthy hike from the exhibition centre."
But with the number of expected delegates expected at Mipim still well below the 26,000 who flocked to show at the height of the property boom in 2007, I would like to now if this is true or just just some sort of brokerage hype.
Can anyone give us real figures?
