French based Yachting Partners International (YPI Group), one of the world’s longest serving full-service brokerage houses, believes that Asia is potentially one of the most interesting emerging markets in yachting anywhere in the world today.
Eager to get into the market CEO, Bertrand Vogèle began looking for someone who had established solid roots in the region – who understood the needs and way of working in that part of the world.
Having found Olivier Besson at the Monaco Yacht Show the pair have now created YPI Asia as a joint venture dedicated exclusively to serving clients in Asia.
Starting off with two offices – one in Shenzhen, China, the other in Aberdeen, Hong Kong.
The joint-venture’s first big outing is the Hainan Rendezvous taking place in the first week of April on Hainan Island sometimes referred to as the Chinese Riviera.
There they will present the biggest yacht ever to attend that Show the 65-metre custom-built Benetti Ambrosia.

Olivier and his team have an amazing local know-how and an acute understanding of what our Asian clients are looking for, what they expect and how they want to do business.
