OCEANS SEVEN SQUARED (ex-Kalikobass II) has four spacious double staterooms each with King bed which can convert to twin singles.  The two forward guest staterooms have a partition that can be removed to make a large master cabin with centerline King bed. (In this configuration OCEANS 7² is suitable if there are 6 guests or fewer in the charter party.)  All staterooms have ensuite bath with stall shower & seat for added comfort with closing glass door.  Guest staterooms are complete with entertainment center including television, DVD, sound system, beverage refrigerator, safe and air conditioning unit with controls. Crew quarters, galley & crew mess are located aft. Water toys include: waterskis, wakeboard, tube, two kayaks, windsurfer, snorkel equipment, fishing gear, etc.

Volterra - Heineken Regatta 2009

Most yachts are available for charter during the various races and regattas as solely spectator boats (what better way to view the race than from a beautiful yacht while being pampered with fine food and spirits?) as the owners do not want the wear and tear that racing demands on their yacht.

That said, Volterra will consider a racing charter for the Voiles de St. Barths, and the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta... inquire !

VOLTERRA, an 80-foot classic Palmer Johnson sloop, was designed to circumnavigate the world safely in comfort and style. While she has indeed traced her stern wake around the globe, she has also distinguished herself on the race course in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic; Volterra finished first in the 1997 Transatlantic Challenge Race.

Designed by German Frers and John Alden, she is endowed with fast, classically  elegant lines, built by Palmer Johnson and solid cherry wood interior by John Munford.  She's a beauty!

Twin Guest Cabin

Volterra has a crew of three and accommodates up to six guests in three cabins. There are port and starboard guest cabins, each with two single beds and adjoining bathrooms with showers. Two additional bunks are provided in the main salon, enclosed by a privacy curtain. The owners cabin located midships offers two beds, one extends to a full queen sized bed. The owner's cabin also offers a comfortable settee with a fold down work desk and a well-appointed bathroom with shower stall.

Her large cockpit offers ample elbow room to an active racing crew as well as comfortable accommodations to owner and guests for a romantic dinner in the moonlight.

It appears not to be just a rumour anymore, as Jimmy Buffett is now on the schedule for a quayside concert in Gustavia, Saturday 7th November 2009 at 8:00 pm.

What a great excuse (as if you need one) to have Cheeseburgers & Beers in Paradise! It's only a few weeks until Le Select’s 60th Anniversary is upon us. Join the celebration and attend the BIG anniversary bash November 6-8 2009... Where???? St. Barths, of course :)

Charter Catamaran AMARYLLIS - Jimmy Buffett sighting

We just received an email from the charter catamaran AMARYLLIS. We recently had a very happy charter aboard Amaryllis and we'll be posting their comments soon, but in the meantime, here's some news from this excellent charter yacht:

JIMMY BUFFETT SIGHTING AT WHITE BAY!

March came in like a lion and went out with a blast! St. Paddies at 'Sir' Foxy's, Jimmy Buffett at White Bay, St. John Blues Festival in Coral Bay, and the usual great sailing, hikes, beach bars, etc. We had two 'parrotheads' on charter who were down here for a Margaritaville experience. They were sitting in front of the Soggy Dollar Bar at White Bay and saw Jimmy Buffett standing about 25 feet from them, blending in with the beach crowd. He obliged them with a picture, at which point the buzz went down the beach, "That's Jimmy Buffett!' and he made a speedy getaway. We joked that we had to pull some strings to make their vacation really special! But the bottom line is, you can't beat a Virgin Islands charter for a great vacation.

FAMILY DISCOUNT

We are offering 'one child free' so a family of four can charter AMARYLLIS for a week for $9,000, all-inclusive. This is a very competitive price and a good value for Mom and Dad. We've had a great season so far with families, couples, and singles. We will be available for charter through August 15th and will be back.

Amaryllis is a 45-foot Privilege catamaran, owned and operated by Bruce & Laura Masterson, and accommodates up to 6 guests. Please note that Amaryllis is a non-smoking yacht. We spent quite a bit of time aboard Amaryllis with Bruce & Laura last November when we were in St. Thomas and we hope to see them again when we pass through next month. Bruce is a sailing instructor and offers informal training, plus he also teaches windsurfing.

ATTN PARROTHEADS: JIMMY BUFFETT RUMOR

Attention to all Parrotheads and to all that enjoy a good time...

We just heard a rumor on our local St Maarten radio station that Jimmy Buffett will be doing a concert in November 2009 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Le Select restaurant in St.Barths.

Found this info on the net:

• 60th Anniversary of Le Select: November 6-8, 2009
• Free concert. See Jimmy Buffett play in the open air
• Big party - Enjoy a festival-like atmosphere downtown

Someone else said that they had talked to someone and:

• that JB will play sometime over the 3 days, but only a few songs and it will not be a concert! It will only be at Select and not at the dock like before and will NOT be as big of party. He said that the 50th was sooo much work preparing months ahead for it he did not what to go thru all of that again. Things might change with Jimmy, but for right now just a couple of songs at Select on one of the three days.

We really enjoyed the Anguilla concert two years ago and this sounds like a fun time, too.

What would be cooler than to be on your own chartered yacht for this historic event. We hope to be there!

DAY 1:
