Superyacht Charters Are Looking Positive Again

The regular charterers are definitely back again according to a report from Fraser Yachts.  There are definite signs of a solid recovery in the charter market.

“We had very encouraging bookings throughout the winter and yachts are still being booked so the season looks like it's going to carry on for a few more weeks yet,” said Patrick Coote the firms Marketing Director.

Fraser were fully booked in the Caribbean over the holiday period. Clients from territories that have traditionally had a strong interest in chartering are returning once again.

The dip seems to be over and the once regular charterers are flowing back. The charter clients in the Caribbean this winter were about one third from the United States, one third from the United Kingdom and one third from other areas such as France, Italy, Ireland and Russia.

Enquiries for Mexico are still higher than normal although in general, the more exotic destinations are not selling as quickly as the staple favourites although. Whether this is due to the economy or general security in unclear.
